Fast Forward or Play

Audio and video cassettes were the media in my younger years. We even joined video cassettes clubs! The option to “fast forward” rejigged my memory of that technology lately. In “fast forward” mode, the motion pictures make quick transitions without discernible meaning. If you want to start making sense out of the video, then you return to “play” mode. “Fast forward” saves the time but crashes the meaning. “Play” takes each phase as it comes with slinging suspense and delayed denouement.

I’m always scared to run my life in the “fast forward” mode through prophetic pushes or apostolic pronunciations which tend to insert Revelation immediately after Genesis. The real education in life is during practical excursion. Eternity is not a banner of your birthplace but a scanner of your journey in time. If you miss the Exodus, you cannot make the Levitical Number! “Fast-forward” minimizes your meaning. Undertakers love overtakers.

Take your time baby. Appearance does not glitter like endurance. To escape the tying and dying of time is to fade from relevance at first detergence of adversity. God chose to extend time for Joshua in a war rather than quickening his victory in record time! Time is the womb of process, a seed aborted in the womb has no hope in reality. If time hinders your delivery, your conception is a fertilized fibroid.

You cannot arrive at a future that you escaped its journey. Don’t fast forward your wedding, those who rush in always rust out. Don’t fast forward your ministry growth, the storm only bows to solid foundation built with stamina. Stability is built not bought. The transformation for the destination happens in transition. The end only makes sense in a “play” mode. Press play brother, it’s real life action time!
